This course is dedicated to those practitioners that intend
to improve their knowledge in veterinary orthopedics.
Juvenile orthopedic diseases are a common cause of
discomfort and lameness young dogs. Clinical signs, patient's history and
thorough examination are necessary to localize the disease, establish
differential diagnoses, think of a diagnostic plan and treatment. Understanding
of the etiology, pathophysiology and possible differential diagnoses is
important when recommending the appropriate medical and surgical treatment and
predict a realistic outcome for prognosis.
